My Roots:

Vikki started her journey in the flower industry as an
accounting intern with The Sun Valley Group in June of 2001 during her last semester at Humboldt State University where she was studying for her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. During this time, she not only worked on various accounting tasks but she found her passion for Project Management by assisting in putting on the annual Open House event, organizing details quickly became something she craved.  Upon graduation she took on a full time position at Sun Valley and within 2 years she assumed the role of Credit and Collections Manager.  Vikki’s favorite part of this job is getting to know the customers, especially those who pay!  She embraces her Italian heritage as the Guido of the company and
rarely backs down from a challenge.  Vikki worked with the Sun Valley team until the business closed in 2024, at which time she happily joined the Groot in Flowers family.  In her personal time, Vikki is likely spoiling her puppy, Nori.  They can be found strolling through Humboldt county looking for beautiful flowers – Vikki’s favorite are dahlias and Nori’s favorites are the smelly ones!
