My Roots: I spent nearly eight years working as a full-time national sales Rep for Sun Valley Floral farms. While working for Sun Valley I gained invaluable experience selling many different types of flowers to an extremely diverse portfolio of accounts with locations all over the world. Before jumping into the floral industry, I spent time working and gaining experience in other fields of work.

I have a background in grocery store management, and I also spent an ample amount of time working in law enforcement in the capacity of a sworn police officer, and then a Sheriff’s Deputy. I have Bachelor’s degrees in both Religious Studies and Geography (and now I sell flowers!). I also love American football! I played both high school and college level football. I love the San Francisco 49ers (I go to at least one game in person every season), and I still love the Chargers even though they are not in San Diego anymore (San Diego is my hometown). It’s also worth mentioning that I am a total nerd. I love comic books, Science fiction and fantasy movies, and I have been known to play a video game or two from time to time as well.

These days I am quite delighted to be working in a field of sales where I feel like I am not causing harm, but rather bringing happiness to the people who are getting these flowers from us. These flowers have been lovingly grown, picked, and then prepared by many hard-working folks who are dedicating to being the best that they can be, and I am very proud to be part of that.

Favorite Flower: Tulips are easily my favorite flower. I physically worked at Sun Valley’s main Arcata farm location for almost eight years and have seen millions of tulips. Tulips are delightful, have personality, and they come in many different shapes and colors. I loved getting tulips to people while I was at Sun Valley, and hope to one day be doing the same for Groot in Flowers!
